GOVERNOR Aris Aumentado reminded the police force to keep Christmas celebration peaceful in the entire yuletide season.

Tagbilaran City Mayor Jane Cajes-Yap threw 100% support for the Bohol Provincial Police force led by provincial director Col. Lorenzo Batuan, who is ably assisted by deputy provincial director Col. George Vale.

Aumentado and Cajes-Yap graced the Christmas party of the BPPO held at Camp Dagohoy on the night of Dec. 16, 2022.

Aumentado issued the directive as the Boholanos are making a comeback for a joyous Christmas celebration a year after the monstrous super typhoon “Odette” that mercilessly ravaged the entire province and the neighboring islands.

Camp Dagohoy reportedly said that there were no major untoward incidents in the Christmas revelry, so far, as the Christmas day is still seven days to go.

The governor donated P50,000 for the raffle prizes while city Mayor Yap, P10,000 and another P10,000 from Baba Yap.

The city government also donated food and non-food items as Christmas presents to the police force and non-police force beneficiaries. Earlier, Camp Dagohoy threw a gift-giving Christmas party for the kids as a matter of tradition.

Among those who also graced the affair were San Isidro Mayor Atty. Diosdado “Dadz” Gementiza, Pres. Carlos P. Garcia Mayor Fernando ”Eping” Estavilla, Corella Mayor Manju Lim, Garcia-Hernandez Mayor Jess Baja, visitors and media.

Exchanging of gifts among the ten ‘contingents’ composed of different offices, including national agencies and non-uniform personnel, took place. Each presented a number as part of the contest where cash prizes were ups for grab. (rvo)
