OVER 600 chairmen from different barangays in the province attended the opening program of Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Federation of Bohol’s provincial congress, a 3-day event from Sept. 29 to Oct. 1, 2022, at the Bohol Tropics Resort, Tagbilaran City.
The fun-filled program opened with a welcome address from SK-Bohol federation president and Board Member Christian Victor Bolos encouraging the participants to have fun, mingle, and socialize during the 3-day event. He added that the provincial congress is an opportunity for the SK Chairmen to learn from the talks from various Government departments invited to discuss different topics such as processing payments and procurement and liquidation of SK projects.
The SK also welcomed Vice Governor Victor Dionisio Balite, 1st District Congressman Edgar Chatto, Board Members Romulo Cepedoza, Aldner Damalerio, Lucille Lagunay, Tagbilaran Mayor Jane Yap, and Governor Erico Aristotle Aumentado’s representative Executive Assistant Metodio John Maraguinot Jr, as guests for the opening ceremony. All gave inspiring messages for the youth to take up more leadership roles to develop themselves into better community members.
The Bureau of Treasury (BTr) will join the three-day event to discuss bonds and payments involving the SK and the Barangay. The Bureau of Internal Review (BIR) will also join to discuss payment processing and a review of the SK Capability development plan and approval of the SK budget from the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG).
