ON HIS first full day in office as the local chief executive of the province, Governor Erico Aristotle “Aris” Aumentado attended both the opening ceremony of the month-long Sandugo Festival and the 56th Charter Day celebration of the City of Tagbilaran.
In the early morning of July 1, Aumentado, together with Vice Governor Dionisio Victor Balite and Provincial Administrator Asteria Caberte, participated in the opening of the festival at the Sandugo Festival Grounds located at the Old Airport in Tagbilaran City. Beforehand, a unity ride and a zumba activity was also held. For that opening day, a Praise Jam concert with the Victory Band was held on the same area.
Later that day, the governor also attended the Charter Day Celebration and Oath-Taking Ceremony of the City Government of Tagbilaran at the Bohol Wisdom School Gym. The said event highlights the achievements the city has achieved in the past years. In the said program, he inducted newly-elected City Mayor Jane Yap and City Vice Mayor Adam Jala.
In both activities, Aumentado highlighted that his administration will make sure that the welfare of Boholanos will always be his first priority and that the provincial government will always be there to support the development of the province. (PR/jja)
