
THE revised Grades 9 and 10 Values Education Curriculum is legally based on Republic Act No. 10533 (Enhanced Basic Education Act of 2013) and implemented through DepEd Order No. 010, s. 2024 on the MATATAG Curriculum, together with related DepEd issuances such as DepEd Memorandum No. 054, s. 2023.
Last April 27,2026-May 1, 2026 National Educators’ Academy of the Philippines (NEAP) took the lead in training regional trainers for the Revised Grade 9 and 10 Values Education Curriculum in Eurotel, Las Pinas City. Region VII Education Program Supervisor Judith B. Abellaneda, served as one of the core trainers at the national level for the regional trainers.
EPSvr Elmer Mangubat (Mandaue City SDO), EPSvr Ana Liza Layasan (City of Naga SDO), EPSvr Ma. Maya V. Tumalon (Bohol SDO), and EPSvr Carmen Ramos (Toledo City SDO) attended the national level training to handle Grade 9 ValEd for the regional level training.
EPSvr Norman Ongco (Lapulapu City SDO), EPSvr Genevieve Bongcac (Tagbilaran City SDO), SSP Edison S. Tuquib (Cebu Province SDO), and SSP Lucio G. Beduya (Mandaue City SDO) will serve for the Grade 10 ValEd regional training.
The one-week training program covered sessions on: Understanding the Revised K to 10 Curriculum, The Kindergarten to Grade 10 Instructional Design Framework, Curriculum Deep-Dive: Internalizing (Grade level-Learning Area) Curriculum, Selecting Appropriate Teaching Strategies for Optimal Learning, and Assessing Learning. Three workshops were provided: Workshop 1 (Building on the Curriculum Map: Planning a Sample Lesson), Workshop 2 (Lesson Delivery Simulation), and Workshop 3 (Workplace Application Planning).
