THE ‘Save Sara 428’ bared that Boholanos, not all of course, are duped in voting the Bongbong Marcos – Sara Duterte (BBM-Sara) tandem for president and vice-president, respectively, under the now in disarray Uniteam.

Just recently, Vice-President Sara Z. Duterte has apologized for the tandem n 2022 polls. This came even before she declared she is it for her presidential run in 2028.
“Save Sara 428” apparently in preparation of the 2028 presidential elections is officially organized in Bohol, according to Diputado.
“SAVE SARA 428 is the name of the group. We have already organized town leaders before and will continue our town meetings.” Organization of the groups include chapters in Cebu, Negros Oriental, region 8 and in the National Capital Region (NCR), (as) this is one of the support groups for VP in 2028 election.
Sara’s declaration of a presidential run in 2028 sparked a ripple as many voiced their support and some were not happy as they posted their sentiments on social media.
Sara’s declaration came after his father, then Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte decided not to recognize International Criminal Court’s jurisdiction and will not be physically present during the start of the trial this week, apparently waiving his rights.
The first to declare her unequivocal support for Sara on 2028 presidential run is ex-officio SP Member Dr. Johana Cabalit-Initay, president of Philippine Councilors’ League, Bohol chapter.
Initay’s declaration of support for Duterte is said to be sort of a tribute to the 40th anniversary of EDSA on February 25, 2026.
Other politicians and wanna-bes here are expected to jump ship for the Sara for president support. (Ric Obedencio)
MAISUG CHALLENGE
Hakbang ng Maisug has challenged members of Congress to hold direct consultations with their respective constituencies before voting for or against the impeachment.
“It is not a personal decision for them to make because no less than the future of the nation is at stake,” said Maisug in a statement.
According to the movement, it views with “deep concern” the preparations being undertaken by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. to impeach Vice-President Sara Duterte “on mostly flimsy and absurd grounds”.
“While it is the usual Duterte critics that have come out to file the cases against Vice-President Duterte, it does not take legal experts to know that no impeachment case will ever prosper against the popular Vice-President without the President’s expressed marching orders,” the statement stressed.
Maisug said the impeachment is “obviously intended” to divert attention away from the Marcos administration’s failure to solve the flood control scandal, at the same time removing Vice-President Duterte from the 2028 presidential race.
In challenging the solons to hold consultations, Maisug said any decision that they make “will impact future generations and cannot be left to the discretion of politicians whose interests are at best parochial and at worst self-centered and to the detriment of the majority.”
At the same time, Maisug issued the call to “all concerned and patriotic Filipinos” to reject what it calls the “Marcos-sponsored impeachment” by demanding both territorial and party list congressmen and congresswomen to undergo a consultation process before voting on it.
In the event that this call is disregarded, Maisug warned that it will “take the issue right to the homes of the honorable congressmen and congresswomen.” “…Maisug will undertake all necessary measures to observe peaceful means in all rallies and demonstrations that will be undertaken in the residences of the belligerent solons either in their hometowns or temporary domicile in the National Capital Region,” the statement added.
