VP movement in Bohol in full swing: ‘SAVE SARA 428’

“SAVE Sara 428” apparently in preparation of the 2028 presidential elections is officially organized in Bohol, according to one of its founding officers Atty. Salva Diputado, the former assistant secretary of the Department of Agriculture.

“SAVE SARA 428 is the name of the group. We have already organized town leaders before and will continue our town meetings,” Diputado said in interview. He added that “We have chapters in Cebu, Negros Oriental, region 8 and in the National Capital Region (NCR), (as) this is one of the support groups for VP in 2028 election.’

The “Save Sara 428” refers to Vice-President Sara Duterte’s recent declaration she will run for the highest post of the land and 428 apparently refers to for 2028 presidential elections.

Sara’s declaration of a presidential run in 2028 sparked a ripple as  many voiced their support and some were not happy as they post their sentiments on social media.

Sara’s declaration came after his father, then Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte decided not to recognize International Criminal Court’s jurisdiction and will not be physically present during the start of the trial this week, apparently waiving his rights.

According to a prolific writer, “The double whammy of PRRD’s waiver and VP Inday’s declaration was delivered with precision. It was no coincidence.”

Partido Reporma led by then House Speaker Cong. Pantaleon Alvarez formally expresses its support for VP Sara Duterte and for Senator Rodante Marcoleta as candidate for Vice-President in the 2028 national elections.

In its statement, “Our support is grounded not in personality politics, but in principle. President Duterte’s declaration speaks to the realities confronting the Filipino people: rising costs of living, communities vulnerable to crime and disorder, weakened public services, and infrastructure and disaster-response systems that must be strengthened. These are not abstract issues. They affect families daily.” (Ric Obedencio)
