THE City Government of Tagbilaran City resumed its Mobile Clinic for senior citizens across several barangays from February 18 to 20, 2026 with continued visits scheduled on February 24 and 25, 2026 in a bid to bring essential healthcare services closer to the elderly sector.
The activity is being conducted by the city government through the Tagbilaran City Primary Care Facility, led by City Health Officer Dr. Jeia Pondoc, to ensure that senior citizens receive accessible and continuous medical care within their communities.
The Mobile Clinic provides on-site medical consultations, follow-up visits, and distribution of maintenance medicines, allowing elderly residents to avail themselves of necessary health services without the need to travel far from their homes.
As part of the initiative, senior citizens are likewise reminded to renew their Fit for Life Booklet, particularly the existing members, as the booklet must be updated annually (every January) to facilitate proper review of their health condition and prescribed maintenance medications.
Mayor Jane Yap encouraged all senior citizens of the city to avail themselves of the services which are directly brought to their barangay.
She added that the initiative aims to provide convenience and sustained medical support for the city’s lolo and lola through regular monitoring and timely access to medicines.
The Mobile Clinic was successfully conducted at the covered court in each of the following barangays:
Feb.18 – Poblacion I and Manga; Feb. 19 – Dao; Feb. 20 – Ubujan and Dampas.
The next scheduled Mobile Clinic will be held at Barangay Poblacion 3 barangay health center and Barangay Taloto covered court on Feb. 24, 2026; and Barangay Mansasa covered court on February 25, 2026.
This program of the City Government of Tagbilaran ensures that government services reach vulnerable sectors, especially the elderly, noting that the Mobile Clinic reflects the city’s commitment to safeguard the health and well-being of its senior citizens by making primary healthcare services readily available at the barangay level.
