23 out-of-school youths in Tagbilaran receive TESDA scholarship

SCHOLARSHIP.  The official advert of the Youth Development Alliance for the TESDA Online Programs given to the out-of-school youths in Tagbilaran City.

TWENTY-THREE TESDA Online Program Batch 3 Learners participated and completed the Pathways Orientation for Youth, Career Talk, and Higher-level Education Readiness and Training Orientation for Up-skilling and Multi-skilling. The completers will soon advance to further programs including the work-ready now training, peer coaching, and post-training opportunities.

The City Government of Tagbilaran thru the City Youth Development Office (CYDO) partnered with USAID Opportunity 2.0, a five-year (2020-2025) initiative aimed to improve the learning and earning outcomes of out-of-school Filipino youth by working with key stakeholders from government, industry and academia. It is geared to strengthen the education, training and employment systems at the national and local level. These include DepEd’s enhanced Alternative Learning Systems program, TESDA’s skills training programs, and local government programs for youth.

The Tagbilaran City Youth Development Office thanked the City Mayor’s Office for the use of the Tagbilaran City College as venue of the learning sessions, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) for the Career Talk panelists. (Jeanette Busano)
