Total illegal drugs seized in 2025: P222.5 MILLION

A TOTAL of Php222.5 million value of 32,704 grams of illegal drugs are seized in 2025 by law enforcement agencies, according to the police data presented during the recent meeting in January 22, 2025 of the Provincial Peace and Order Council (PPOC) and Provincial Anti-Drug Council (PADAC) initiated and presided over by Gov. Aris Aumentado.

Included in the total of illegal drugs are the methamphetamine hydrochloride or (shabu) and dried marijuana (cannabis), 608.20 grams.

With these figures, it corresponds to the number of operations conducted with 885 and 944 arrested.

The biggest haul of this drive against illegal narcotics occurred in February 14, 2025 in Panglao town with 3,000 grams or equivalent to estimated P20,400,000.00 and in December 14, 2025 in Tagbilaran City with 3,040 grams worth Php20,672,000.00.

The report also showed that there are now a total of 738 out of total 1,109 barangays considered as “drug-cleared” barangays and still to be cleared are 354 drugs-affected barangays. There are only 17 barangays remain unaffected.

Meanwhile, a random drug test has been done for the personnel of PNP Avseu group in region 10 at Laguindingan International Airport, Laguindingan, Misamis Oriental led by PLtCol George A. Vale, a Boholano, according to Vale’s fb post.

PMaj Kimberly Jean R. Tajardo, regional forensic unit 10 head and a Forensic Chemist, conducted the said drug test at the AVSEU 10 Headquarters, Brgy. Moog, Misamis Oriental on on January 29, 2025.
