TAGBILARAN CITY – Police Col. Patricio Degay Jr. succeeds as new police provincial director of Bohol vice provincial director Col. Arnel Banzon, who retires this month during the simple rites Sept. 19 at Camp Francisco Dagohoy.
Degay was the former police chief of Tagbilaran City.
The turnover of the command change is presided over by regional director PBGen Redrico Maranan at said Camp attended by Governor Aris Aumentado, Vice-Gov Nick Besas, Cong. John Geesnell “Baba” Yap (first dstrict), police officers and visitors.
“Don’t break the heart of the governor and serve the people of Bohol,” said Maranan in his short speech, saying that the governor has moved mountains to make Degay the provincial director here.
He told the governor that his wish for Degay has been realized.
He said to Degay to “do your best” and maintain Bohol peaceful and orderly.
He added that “Bohol is critical” just because it is a haven of tourists. (Ric Obedencio)
