BOHOL Vice-Gov. Tita V. Baja extends her heartfelt congratulations to the extraordinary athletes for their remarkable achievements in their respective field of sports.
Baja said that she and her family are deeply grateful to the winners who participated in this year’s Palarong Pambansa 2025 held in Laoag City.
She said that the winners are all champions in the eyes of the Boholanos and supporters. Their exceptional performances, passion and hard work have elevated their respective sports enthusiasm and inspired those who dream to be in sports.
The vice-governor’s congratulatory note went to Jhul Canalita and Balunan, both of G-Hernandez town, for reaping gold medals in the recent 65th national sports events.
Canalita broke a 27-year-old record in the secondary boys’ 5,000-meter and he garnered his second gold in 3,000-meter steeplechase.
Balunan also got gold in track and field’s 800-meter race.
“Balunan outran Mary Jane Pagayon of Region 10 (silver) and Cristine Joy Taliente of Region 1 (bronze).”
The ice-governor also lauds other medalists of Bohol and Central Visayas. (rvo)
