I GOT several calls last week, all asking about the visit of VP Sara to Bohol. I immediately recused from giving specific information because of lack of knowledge or information.
Whoever invited her was outside my orbit.
Some of the callers were not only asking for confirmation, they were also trying to “get into” the VIPs of the political activity with VP Sara. Apparently, they were convinced that by being with VP Sara, seen with VP Sara or even better, endorsed by VP Sara, would make a lot of difference.
Yes, it would increase their chances of winning voters’ support.
Of course, I could not argue with their ideas. And I also do not have that power to “bring them in.”

Anyway, she was in Tagbilaran but this time around, and contrary to rumors, she was alone and no PDP senatoriables around.
I don’t know if her visit here last week, minus the PDP senatoriables, was the same political event that the PDP in the province was contemplating of.
You see, I attended one such meeting with PDPs in Bohol and I didn’t stay long.
Apart from the fact that I was set to depart for Cebu that morning, time was not a luxury I could afford then, I was also filled with dread and frustration.
In fact, I was very disappointed.

The information floated around was that the PDP senatoriables were coming Bohol with Inday Sara in tow.
Big event.
So that meeting was called. Initially, it was set for Alicia but I declined outright because I opted to have it in the city, all for practical reasons. Anyway, we had the meeting at Garden Cafe in the city.
Typical of a PDP event, nobody was willing to foot the bill. So the attendees were impervious to the patutsadas of the food servers for orders, after all, we were using their place and there were plenty of us.
But kebs lang tanan oi.
Anyway, instead of starting at 9am, the meeting started at almost 11 because the chairman was late, very late.

I was the first one to speak so I immediately asked for confirmation of the event and the venue of the event.
He confirmed and said the venue would be in Alicia. I immediately did a follow up and explained my suggestion that it be held in the city rather than Alicia.
Apart from the issue of crowd generation in favor of the city, I also said that the city has the hotels, restaurants, proximity to the airport and seaport and many other advantages of having it in the city. I also pointed out that our support group, the Save Sara Movement, is focusing mainly on the senatoriables, only on the national level and not on the local level in order to maximize support for the senatoriables in preparation for the impeachment trial of VPs Sara.
But the chairman adamantly said that will not happen.
He insisted on having it in Alicia, “kay iyawat na lang pod ming mga kandidato nga mabulahan pod sa pagbisita ni Inday Sara, maayo man ka Attorney kay dili man ka kandidato.”
Seeing the futility of further explanation, I left the group.
And the last thing we knew, wala sila maapil sa gi-endorsed ni VP Sara.
Ngano kaha?

While the chairman insisted that he was contacted by the senatoriables, and even told the group that the senatoriables were amenable to having it in Alicia which I seriously doubt, another source told me that the PDP senatoriables have no schedule for Bohol visit because of lack of time and full schedule.
The recent visit of VP Sara seemed to confirm my suspicion – somebody was feeding us false information.
“Delikado dinhi sa Tagbilaran Attorney kay daghan na kaayo og taas nga mga building, delikado ni for security reasons, maayo mas Alicia kay sayon ra nato ma-secure ang lugar,” he explained to me.
Hahahahaha, di ka ma-lain ana?

Back to the visit in Tagbilaran.
Many were disappointed, especially those from the towns.
Most especially those who are trying to identify themselves as belonging to the Duterte Team kunohay – kay dili na man sila pwede sa Alyansa group, adto na lang sila sa gitawag og Duterte group kunohay.
To make it more convincing, they are posting tarps with the image of PRRD or Inday Sara conveniently included.
But mas nindot gyod unta kon dili lang photoshopped ila ibutang sa tarps, kanang actual and personal gyod nga i-isa ni Inday Sara ilang kamot kay sure gyod nga maka-convinced sa mga tawo nga sila gyod ang tunay ug tinuod nga gi-suportahan ni Inday Sara.
Mao to nga naghinam-hinam gyod sila nga maka-abot sa Tagbilaran event.
But no chance, sobrang gipit sa oras, plus wala na pod sila pahibaw-a kay kon daghan na pod sila kaayo, basin group endorsement lang ang himoon ni Inday Sara.
Emphasis on – wala na lang sila pahibaw-a.
Kay ang rason – isig diskarte lang ta ani og kinsay matigayon.

The question – unsay epekto sa endorsement ni Inday Sara sa mga local candidates?
Paigo kaha tong isa-isa sa kamot para mo-botar ang mga tawo nila unya modaog sila?
