
AN induction of officers is a formal ceremony or process where newly elected or appointed officials are officially introduced and sworn into their positions. This ceremony marks the beginning of their term in office and is often accompanied by a pledge or oath to uphold the duties and responsibilities of their role. The purpose of an induction ceremony is to: formalize the transition, administer oaths or pledges to the new officers, outlining their duties and responsibilities, introduce new leaders and new officers to the organization, community, or stakeholders, and set the tone for the new officers’ term in office, emphasizing the importance of their role and responsibilities
The National Teachers and Employees Cooperative Bank (NTECB) hold its induction of new Board of Directors, Committee Chair, and Committee Members on April 11, 2025, at Surestay Hotel, Cebu City. The new BODs, and committee members were elected and designated during the 20th General Assembly of the NTECB last March 29, 2025.
The newly inducted BODs are BOD Chair Recaredo G. Borgonia, Vice Chair Leonilo B. Oliva, Dir Marilyn S. Andales, Dir Rhea Mar A. Angtud, Dir Aniano Jr. T. Bautista, Dir Nimfa D. Bongo, Dir Bianito A. Dagatan, Dir Sheila G. Dela Cruz, Dir Salustiano T. Jimenez, Dir Belinda B. Maravilla, Dir Senen Prescillo P. Paulin, Dir Lorna E. Rances, Dir John Roy G. Ravina, Dir Enrico D. Zerna, and Dir Ma. Maya V. Tumalon.
Chair and members of mandated committees by Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) and Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) were also inducted. The inducting officer was Atty. Fiel Y. Almendra, CESO IV Director III, Assistant Regional Director of DepEd Region VII. In his inspirational message, ARD Almendra cited that, “it’s the service that measures success. NTECB is considered as one of the most successful bank because of the excellent service given to clients. NTECB supported the provision of support to their clients, (the teachers), in the delivery of their mandates to provide basic, quality, liberating, accessible, and basic education to the learners”.
