AS much as possible, some senators belonging to the Alyansa have developed some innate fears on the way people from all over the country react every time BBM is with the group.
Instead of stupor and excitement, they now dread the time when the host of the program would yell the president’s name, expecting the cheers and yells from jubilant audience but get a “dedma” reaction.
And instead of a widespread kaway-kaway sa mga kamot from the audience when the president alternately raises his left and right hand in greeting the audience, gets another “dedma.”
Very frustrating, one handler said.
Instead of capitalizing on the presence, and influence, of the president, they are now afraid to be with the group.
The asset has become a liability.
But of course, they could only express all these things in private. They are not ready to take the same path as that taken by senator Imee Marcos, who is now junked, and even removed, from all Alyansa activities, posters and all.

Mangita na lang mi og paagi nga maka-kampanya lang mi og amo, nga dili kuyog sa grupo kay delikado among sitwasyon aning kalakiha kon magsigi ning ingon ani ang reaction sa mga tawo ni BBM, one handler said.
A practical, and of course, logical move, all things considered.

Instead of attending the PRRD birthday rally in Tagbilaran, we opted to join the PRRD loyalists in Anda, also to promote and organize the Save Sara Movement-Bohol.
And we were not disappointed.
The crowd was huge, and well behaved too. And of course, the weather was also good, so we had a great time during the activity sponsored and hosted by Mam Bebe Mercedes Tinio.
The sound system was also tops, so I did not have to shout and hoarse my voice as I tried to explain the situations involving PRRD and of course, ways to protect VP Inday Sara, on the issue of impeachment.
On the premise that the impeachment trial will commence in July this year, what better way to protect VP Sara than to ensure that she would have a sure vote of 9, from 9 senators.
And the only way to do this is to vote straight PDP senatorial candidates, all 8 of them, bahala na og kinsa ipuno nga usa sa pikas.

An impeachment trial is not the same, and very different, when compared to a legal trial. In a legal trial, the evidence is sifted by an impartial judge and judgment is only issued after weighing all the evidence presented in court. In other words, in a legal trial, it is evidence-based proceedings.
But an impeachment trial is completely different. It is not evidence-based but padaghanay lang og kaalyado sa politika, padaghanay lang og numero.
This is the reason – I told the audience – that bisan maihap lang unta ang akong gustong botohan sa mga senador sa PDP, kay wa ko mosalig sa ilang abilidad, botohan na lang nako ug ikampanya pa gyod silang tanan, tungod kay mao ni sila ang mo-suporta ni Inday Sara kon madayon gyod ang impeachment trial.
And of course, the audience in Anda was ecstatic, and very supportive, of this plan.
I also told them of our plan to join the petition, from all over the country, to ask the ICC for an interim release of PRRD on health and humanitarian reasons.
He is very sick, and sickly, and badly needs medical attention from his doctors, not the doctors provided by the ICC.
He is already 80 years old unya kana ra bang tigulang na kay pilion na lang ang kan-on nga pagkaon, di na kapa-sagad og kaon bisan unsa kay dali ra madaot ang tiyan kon wa maanad anang pagkaona.
Plus, he is not used to very cold weather.
But this is the clincher – given the worldwide popularity of PRRD, and the justices of the ICC must have seen this spectacle, what do you think will happen kon simbako lang, madisgrasya si PRRD while in detention sa ICC?
Nagkaso sila og kabahin sa human rights, unya kanang ilang gibuhat ron ni PRRD humane diay na, di ba diay na inhuman treatment?
