TAGBILARAN City was honored with two notable awards during the Provincial Nutrition Awarding Ceremony held at the Capitol Ceremonial Hall in December 2024.
The city’s continued commitment to health and nutrition was recognized through the Exemplary Award for Idol Ko Si Nanay and the Green Banner Seal of Compliance.
Representing Mayor Jane Yap at the ceremony was Chief of Staff Ms. Cathelyn Torremocha, who was joined by City Nutrition Officer Rey Delos Santos.
Together, they received the accolades on behalf of the city government and the entire city whose collective efforts have made these achievements possible.
The Exemplary Award for Idol Ko Si Nanay highlights the city’s outstanding implementation of programs that promote maternal and child health, underscoring Tagbilaran’s proactive approach in supporting families through education and healthcare services.
Meanwhile, the Green Banner Seal of Compliance recognizes the city’s adherence to and surpassing of national nutrition program standards, further solidifying its reputation as a leader in fostering healthy communities.
The awards were presented by Vice Governor Tita Baja, OIC Provincial Health Officer Dr. Fruserma Mary Uy, and Provincial Nutrition Program Coordinator Glenda Grafilo.
Their recognition of Tagbilaran’s achievements underscores the city’s significant contribution to improving the nutritional health of its residents.
