RECOGNITION is essential in various contexts, including personal and professional settings. First and foremost, recognition boosts self-esteem, encourages continued efforts and improvement. It also validates hard work and dedication, fosters happiness and satisfaction.
Oftentimes recognizing personnel motivates employee to excel and fosters positive work environment. Recognition activities should be timely, sincere, specific, consistent and personalized.
DepEd SDO Bohol conducted its SALUDO, a term used to honor and give due recognition on the different categories as reflected on an official issuance of the department. This was conducted last December 27, 2024 at Sandugo Grand Ballroom, Bohol Tropics Resort, Tagbilaran City.
The activity started with the singing of hymns through multimedia presentations. An opening prayer led by SGOD EPSvr Lope S. Hubac. Rationale of the DepEd Bohol Saludo 2024 and Welcome Message was given by DepEd SDO Bohol OIC SDS Fay C. Luarez. SGOD Chief Wilfreda O. Flor acknowledged the guests and participants.
English EPSvr Pablito D. Villalon introduced the guest speaker. BM Lucille Lagunay delivered the message of Governor Erico Aristotle C. Aumentado.
Awarding Ceremonies followed. The following were considered in the recognition of outstanding employees and schools: 1) Most Outstanding Teachers, 2) Most Outstanding School Heads, 3) Most Outstanding Teaching-Related Personnel, 4) Most Outstanding Teaching-Related Personnel, 5) Most Outstanding 3rd Level Officials, 6) Most Outstanding Schools, and 7) Most Outstanding Program Implementers.
Awarding ceremonies for 2024 SDO Service Loyalty Awards with those 10 years in service (Bronze Service Medallion), 15 years in service (Bronze Service Medallion), 20 years in service (Silver Service Medallion), 25 years in service (Silver Service Medallion), 30 years in service (Gold Service Medallion), 35 years in service (Gold Service Medallion), and 40 years in service (Gold Ring). Special Awards were also provided.
ASDS Eduardo A. Ompad led in the celebratory toast and gave his closing remarks. A celebratory lunch was served. Marlone N. Mahumot, T-II of San Isidro NHS, San Isidro District serenaded the awardees. The program was hosted by Edmund C. Bacquial, T-III of La Libertad Elementary School, Carmen 2 District and Julie Ann A. Rosagaran, T-III of Montevideo Elementary School, Carmen 2 District.
