JAGNA town Mayor Joseph A. Ranola led the blessing and inauguration of the new 4-million worth of air-conditioned comfort rooms for male and female on October 31, 224, probably the first in the province, during the simple but fitting short ceremony.

The inauguration was just timing as the people are set to visit their loved ones in public cemetery last November 1 and Nov. 2 to celebrate the All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ day, respectively.

The finished comfort rooms which is located just a stone-throw away from the public cemetery was made possible with the able help of siblings, Senators Alan and Pia Cayetano.

The mayor said that gone are the days that those who paid visits to their departed ones in the nearby cemetery found themselves in an uncomfortable situation where to pee because there’s no toilet they can go.

The mayor, who will end his second term on June 30, 2025 as he did not file the COC for reelection, expressed gratitude to everyone, like the vice-Mayor Teofisto Pagar, the Sangguniang Bayan members, the religious and education sectors, the barangay officials and the people for their support of the project.

A resident, who did not want to be named, told this writer that the mayor has exerted much effort to ask for help from his connections in the national offices just to pour fund needed for development in this once a sleepy town. And he succeeded, he added.

Those who witnessed the blessing of the comfort room building were Rev. Fr. Conrado Estapia (who did the blessing). Rev. Fr. Gilberto Cenia, Rev. Fr. Vincent Lofranco, sister Teresita Caberte, municipal councilors Atty. Noelle Acedillo, Kag. Vinalon, Vice-Mayor Teofisto Pagar, Brgy captains and officials, municipal employees and heads of offices.
