THE Sanguniang Panlalawigan of Bohol is having a new member in the person of Dionisio Joseph “DJ” Valmores Balite, son of former Vice-Gov. Dionisio Victor A. Balite.
DJ Balite assumed on October 25 during the regular session of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan presided over by BM Benjie Arcamo.
Balite took over the vacant post of BM in third district following senior Board Member Tita V. Baja who was catapulted to Vice-governor after the demise of Victor Balite in July.
“President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. has appointed Dionisio Joseph V. Balite as a Member of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan for the Province of Bohol, under the Department of the Interior and Local Government,” Presidential Communications Office said in fb post of Balite’s mother Rusell Valmores Balite.
Then a vacuum took place in the provincial board since senior BM Tita Virtudazo Baja assumed the posts of the vice-governor and Balite’s appointment is to complete the required ten regular members.
Balite, who gunning for BM in the district, is expected to serve an unexpired term of a regular BM until June 30, 2025. (rvo)
