Ubay Districts as One (Mental Health Management Protocol)

THE municipality of Ubay is divided into three districts, Ubay 1 District, Ubay 2 District, Ubay 3 District. Ubay 1 is led by PSDS Zenaida L. Boyles PhD with Central Elementary School Principal, Ma. Jeanna B. Polinar; Ubay 2 by PSDS Ma. Maya V. Tumalon PhD, MDM with CESP Josephine S. Boyboy PhD, and Ubay 3 District with PSDS Marifel R. Bernales and CESP Rosario Baluran.

In sports events, the district is managed by a District Physical Education and Sports Specialist (PESS). Referred to as PESS Coordinators, Mr. Bryan Silagan for Ubay 1, Mr. Julieto Manuta for Ubay 2, and Mr. Faustino Lagare for Ubay 3. Sports events started with school intramural games, then district level. If the municipality has more than one district, a municipal level sports competition would be held to compete the sub-congressional level competition. In the case of Ubay, the municipality belongs to a cluster called CUB (Pres. Carlos P. Garcia, Ubay and Bien Unido municipalities).

Last October 5, 2024, a municipal level sports competition was conducted for Ubay 1, Ubay 2, and Ubay 3 Districts. It started with an opening program, where PSDS Zenaida L. Boyles, welcomed the participating districts.

PSDS Ma. Maya V. Tumalon recognized the participating districts, and PSDS Marifel R. Bernales gave her closing remarks. Hoisting of the Municipal Flag was provided by the three PESS coordinators. “Pinoy Ako” mass dance was performed by the athletes, coaches,trainers, officiating officials, and the school administrators. Ubay 1 PESS Coordinator Bryan Silagan announced the different playing venues. The games started after the opening program.

Athletic and swimming events were played in Ubay 3 District. San Pascual sports ground served as the playing venue for athletic events, while swimming was hosted by Bulilis National High School.

One of the highlights of the one-day sports events is the announcing of the winners, winning coach, and the identification of officiating officials who will serve the Sub-congressional Meet, still hosted by Ubay 1 District.

Announced as overall champion by HT Beverly Salgados, Chair of the Records Committee is Ubay 3 District, first runner-up is Ubay 2 District, and second runner-up is Ubay 1 District.

The billeting quarters including kitchen and meal quarters are assigned to the three districts. Ubay 1 District will take charge Ubay delegation; Ubay 2 District for CPG delegation, led by PSDS Davilin B. Cuanan PhD; and Ubay 3 District for Bien-Unido Delegation, led by PSDS Francisco Lofranco.
