THE City Government of Tagbilaran conducted a workshop on August 5, 2024, at Jj’s Seafood Village, Tagbilaran City, to formulate its organizational vision, mission, and goals, as well as to review its organizational structure.
The workshop, attended by department heads and heads of offices, was facilitated by Dr. Rosalinda Paredes, City Governance Coordinator of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) through its Cities for Enhanced Governance and Engagement (CHANGE) Project.
The primary objective of the workshop was to update the current vision, mission, and goals of the city to ensure they remain responsive to the evolving needs of Tagbilaran and its residents.
The inclusion of civil society organization representatives aimed to foster a comprehensive and participatory approach, ensuring diverse perspectives were considered in defining a clear and unified vision for the city’s future.
Mayor Jane Yap highlighted the importance of this initiative, stating, “Our collective effort in redefining our vision, mission, and goals is vital for the progress of Tagbilaran City. This workshop serves as a platform to align our strategies and ensure that we are all working towards a shared purpose.”
Mayor Yap also expressed her gratitude to Dr. Paredes, acknowledging her expertise and valuable contributions to the workshop.
By reviewing and refining the organizational structure, the City Government of Tagbilaran aims to enhance efficiency and responsiveness in delivering public services.
This initiative reflects the city’s dedication to continuous improvement and excellence in governance.
