FOR the first time in years, limestone-rich town of Garcia-Hernandez produced Miss Cayle Joellie Tejano Tentativa, who was adjudged as Miss Bohol 2024 in a glittering and glitzy coronation night held at the jampacked Bohol Wisdom Gym on July 12, 2024 as part of the Sandugo celebration.
Tentativa also bested 15 other contenders in Best In Interview during a closed door fashion. She broke the seemed-to-be-Tagbilaran City domination in producing Miss Bohol, four in a row. She’s 23 and a licensed nurse here and New York.
Acting Vice-Governor Senior Board Member Tita V. Baja, G-Hernandez Mayor Jess Baja and officials, who attended and cheered during the duration of the coronation, expressed elation and congratulations to Tentativa’s feat.
Mutya sa Tagbilaran City Flaviona Joaquin, a 2nd year Nutrition student, settled for first runner-up (RU) and bagged the Darling of the Press and the Best in Evening Gown awards.
Reigning Miss Dauis Angel Ann Calimbayan was adjudged as second RU; Miss Tubigon Mariel Dianne Corbeta Ybanez, 3rd RU; and Miss Pilar Jacel Joy Argawanon, 4th RU. Argawanon bagged the Best In Swimsuit.
Brain and beauty competition is not new for Tentativa for she has a list of that achievements since she started when she was yet very young. She was adjudged victor (first prize) in the recently-held BOHOLANA: a costume (fashion) design contest by Arbasto during the contest held at the air-conditioned Jagna Cultural Center on July 7, 2024. She was also the Miss Governor’s Cup for third district.
Tentativa was crowned by outgoing Miss Bohol 2023 Kayra Hopkins (Mutya sa Tagbilaran 2023) along with pageant chairperson Congresswoman Vanvan C. Aumentado and assisted by pageant co-chair Loinda Saluan, Miss Earth 2023 Ihra Mel Alfeche and provincial federation of Sangguniang Kabataan president Lawrence Xavier Ancla.
Miss Supranational 23′ 1st RU, Pauline Cucharo Amelinckx along with a companion played host to the program.
Jojo Bragas executive Exequiel Quesada, Actress Kyline Alcantara, actor Markus Paterson, Miss Earth 2023 Ihra Mel Alfeche, Reyna ng Aliwan 2024 Mia Tamayo, designer Dennis Lustico and Bb. Pilipinas-World Ana Maris Igpit composed the board of judges.
