Mayor Yap inspires Tagbilaran Solo Parents

SOLO PARENTING.  Tagbilaran City Mayor Jane Yap delivers a heartfelt address to the Solo Parents of Tagbilaran City, marking the commencement of the Solo Parents Week. This significant event took place on April 15, 2024, at the Tagbilaran City Atrium.

TAGBILARAN City Mayor Jane Yap delivered an inspiring message during the commencement program of the Solo Parents Week celebration held on April 15, 2024, at the City Hall atrium.

“Today, we celebrate the resilience and strength of our solo parents, who tirelessly navigate life’s challenges with unwavering dedication,” remarked Mayor Yap during the kickoff program for Solo Parents Week.

Mayor Yap continued, “As a city, we stand with you, offering our unwavering support and commitment to ensure that every solo parent in Tagbilaran receives the assistance and recognition they rightfully deserve.”

Under the theme “Solo Parent na Rehistrado, sa Gobyerno Tiyak na Protektado,” the event aimed at honoring and supporting the city’s solo parents.

City Councilor Gemma Inting also delivered a message, emphasizing the importance of recognizing and assisting solo parents in our community.

The Solo Parent Week celebration, organized by the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO), welcomed participants with warm words from CSWDO Department Head Lucille Clarin.

As the festivities continued, Jonabie Brunidor, President of the Federated Solo Parents Association of Tagb City, delivered the closing remarks and expressed gratitude for the community’s support and solidarity.

Then the culmination activity was held on April 20, 2024, at JJ’s Seafood Village. It offered a blend of programs, games, and wellness activities to solo parents.

Additionally, complimentary services such as haircut, manicure, and pedicure, were provided, offering a moment of relaxation thereby pampering these hardworking individuals.

Through these initiatives, the City Government of Tagbilaran reaffirmed its commitment to uplift and support solo parents, ensuring that they receive the recognition, assistance, and care they deserve.
