“CONTINUING BDMPC’s Journey as Bohol’s First Billionaire Co-op”, as this year’s theme of the 42nd year of the co-ops’ existence, added enthusiasm, encouragement, and pride of the members to provide all-out support of the products and services of this lone billionaire co-op in the province. The annual representative assembly meeting (ARAM) was held at Metro Center Hotel and Convention Center, CPG East, Tagbilaran City, on April 13, 2024.
The authorized representatives come from Tagbilaran City (main branch), Ubay, Jagna, Tubigon, Panglao, Talibon, and Carmen branches. The ARAM started with the registration of the authorized representatives, followed by a Eucharistic Celebration.
Opening activity with the singing of the Philippine National Anthem, Awit sa Bohol, and BDMPC Hymn was provided through a multi-media presentation. Cooperative Hymn was led by GM Jocelyn M. Tagoctoc. BOD Chair Msgr. Jeffrey P. Malanog, JCL gave his welcome address. Elecom Chair Liza R. Pangan, presented the candidates for the Board of Directors, Audit Committee, and Election Committee. Business Meeting commenced with the Call to Order by the Chair of the Board, Msgr Malanog. Proof of Due Notice was read by the Board Secretary. She further stated the existence of a quorum. The reading and approval of the Minutes of the 2023 General Assembly followed. Approval of Board Resolutions, Ownership Meeting Resolutions, and Amendments of the Articles of Cooperation and Bylaws. Reports from the Chair of the Board, Election Committee, Audit Committee, Credit Committee, GAD Committee, Education Committee, Marketing, Conciliation and Mediation Committee, General Manager, Treasurer, Accountant, and External Auditor were provided.
Raffle draws and recognition of “early birds” gave additional joy and excitement to the authorized representatives.
In his printed message, Bishop Alberto S. Uy, DD, expressed that, the assembly may be a source of inspiration, renewal, and empowerment for all on this journey together, he offered prayers and blessings for a fruitful and successful gathering.
As part of the advocacy statements, that BDMPC takes care of its members from womb to tomb, it is expected for more successful journey with the new set of officers.
