Understanding our historical roots fosters unity and appreciation for our diverse heritage.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Special messages were delivered by Atty. Ma. Cecilia U. Tirol, Director II of NMP Visayas, and Dr. Emmanuel Franco Calairo, NHCP Chairperson. Mr. Joseph Alexis Cadeli\u00f1a, Head of the City Events, Culture, and Arts Office, provided the keynote address, setting the stage for an engaging exploration of history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">The series included three insightful lectures. Ms. Athena G. Vitor, BPM researcher and Assistant Administrator, delved into &#8216;The Sikatuna \u2013 Legazpi Sandugo: A Meeting of Two Worlds&#8217;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Ms. Rachelle C. Lacea, Head of the National Museum \u2013 Bohol, shed light on &#8216;The \u201cSandugo\u201d by Napoleon Abueva: An Important Cultural Property&#8217;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Mr. Sherwin Sapong, Chair of the Committee on Photography at TCCCA, explored &#8216;Capturing The Essence of the 1565 Sandugo Through Imagery and Photography&#8217;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">A panel discussion titled &#8216;The Need for Research: Understanding the Sikatuna Legazpi Sandugo&#8217; followed the lectures, featuring esteemed panelists: Dr. Neolita Sarabia of TCCCA, Mr. Charlemeine Tantingco of NMP, Ms. Perlina Alo of NHCP, Mr. Cooper Resabal and Mr. Gavin Cubillo of the Bohol Arts, Culture and Heritage Member.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Councilor Nicanor Besas, Chairperson of the Sangguniang Panlungsod Committee on Education, Science &amp; Technology, Arts, Culture, and Heraldry, provided a closing message, highlighting the significance of continuous research and understanding in preserving and appreciating the rich cultural heritage of Tagbilaran.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">The event served as a testament to Tagbilaran City&#8217;s commitment to fostering cultural appreciation
