Erico Aristotle Aumentado partnered with national government agencies for the Kadiwa launching at 9:30 a.m. last Friday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">The three-day Kadiwa is until today, March 17, from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Over 100 exhibitors were expected to join the Kadiwa composed of local farmers, farmers&#8217; groups, and micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) who will sell fresh fruits, vegetables, rice, fish, meat, processed products, and handicrafts at low prices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Aumentado led the Kadiwa launching with Presidential Assistant for the Visayas, Usec. Terence Calatrava, as guest of honor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Kadiwa (Katuwang sa Diwa at Gawa para sa Masaganang Ani at Mataas na Kita) is a convergence program to ensure food supply in the countryside.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">It is in partnership with the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), Department of Agriculture (DA), Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), and the Philippine Information Agency (PIA).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Initiated by Pres. Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr., the Kadiwa program aims to provide consumers access to affordable and quality products, particularly fresh produce, while also assisting farmers, fishermen and micro-enterprises in selling their products at fair prices in the market.
