The event was made possible through the City Government of Tagbilaran&#8217;s Public Employment Service Office in coordination with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), and Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>AS part of the upcoming Tagbilaran City Charter Day celebration, the City Government of Tagbilaran, in collaboration with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), and Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and City Public Employment Service Office, conducted a successful Trabaho Negosyo Kabuhayan Job and Business Fair at the City Hall atrium on June 24, 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The event aimed to provide a significant boost to employment opportunities and entrepreneurial ventures, further strengthening the local economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tagbilaran City PESO Officer Mark Borja disclosed that out of the total number of registered applicants, an impressive eleven (11) out of two hundred eighty-three (283) were successfully hired on the spot during the job fair.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Additionally, among the two hundred eighty-three (283) applicants who underwent interviews, forty-nine (49) were considered as near hires.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The City PESO has actively sourced two thousand, two hundred sixty-nine (2269) job vacancies from thirty-two (32) employers, wherein one thousand three hundred ninety (1390) are local vacancies and eight hundred seventy-nine (879) are overseas vacancies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Local employers who were present during the job fair include the following: Allied Care Experts Medical Center- Bohol, Alturas Group of Companies, Amorita Resort, ASA Philippines Foundation, Inc., Bohol Beach Club, Bohol Quality Corporation, Bread&#8217;s Edge Corporation, Cebu General Services, Inc., Cebu Mitsumi, Inc., CEO Builders, Inc., DES Strong Motors, Inc., Du Ek Sam, Inc., First Consolidated Bank, Green Thumb Farm, Henann Resort, Home Credit Philippines, Inc., Ibex Global Solutions, Inc., Rafi Micro Finance, Inc., Southern Star Bus Transit, Inc., SPX Philippines, Inc. \/ Shopee Philippines, Inc., TaskUS &#8211; Bohol, Taytay sa Kauswagan, Inc. and the Fortune Group of Companies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Overseas employers include, East West Placement Center, Inc., Panacea International Employment Resources Agency, Inc., Placewell International Services Corporation, PSC Primary Skills Inc., SMC Manpower Agency Philippines Company, and Staffhouse International Resources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mayor Jane Yap expressed her excitement over the event and emphasized the importance of the Job and Business Fair in fostering economic growth and addressing unemployment in the city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Our goal is to empower our residents by connecting them with meaningful employment opportunities and encouraging entrepreneurship within our community,\u201d Mayor Yap stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to job opportunities, the fair dedicated a section to aspiring entrepreneurs, showcasing the products and services of local businesses and start-ups. This segment provided a valuable platform for these entrepreneurs to gain exposure, establish connections, and expand their customer base.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>AS part
