This is in compliance with RA 11058 otherwise known as \u201cAn Act Strengthening Compliance with Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Standards and Providing Penalties for Violations Thereof.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>DOLE-Region 7 Engr. Genis Temosa said that the training was conducted because of the strict requirement of RA 11058, the Occupational Safety and Health Law, which requires all establishment to have at least 1 safety officer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>RA 11058 outlines that employers should provide complete safe work procedures; inform workers of hazards associated with their specific jobs; provide appropriate and personal protective equipment which have passed the DOLE required tests, and provide access to mandatory OSH trainings as prescribed by the DOLE.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe certificate of training comes within a great responsibility. The trainees should promote and practice safe and healthy working environment hence after graduation they shall become safety and health advocates in their workplaces,\u201d Engr. Temosa emphasized.
