THE dragging of Sumaylo family into the seized 10 kilos of alleged shabu worth of P69 million in Alen, Samar is politically-motivated, Dauis town Vice-Mayor Marietta \u201cMiriam\u201d Sumaylo said in media interview on Friday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She clarified that that allegation perpetrated by her detractors, whom she did not name, is far from truth following the impound of Toyota Vios loaded with said illegal drugs by highway operatives manning the checkpoint in Samar on January 31, 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She, however, confirmed that a certain Zaldy Sumaylo, a resident of Songculan, Dauis town and a relative of her husband Josever Sumaylo, once owned the said vehicle registered at the Land Transportation Office (LTO).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But the vehicle was already repossessed sometime in 2019 by the Global Dominion that allegedly financed the said car.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She said that perhaps the name of Zaldy Sumaylo was still in the registration of said car. This may be a headache of the latter despite the fact that said car has already been in the hands of the financing firm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zaldy Sumaylo reportedly had the incident recorded in the police blotter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Our conscience is clear anyway, (we) never involve in illegal drugs. Our family has legitimate source of income,” the vice-mayor said.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Sumaylos have family business in lending in Visayas and Mindanao and gas stations in the province.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Theories or notions of how the illegal drugs trans-shipment transpire vary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Camp Dagohoy reportedly said the illegal drugs pass thru Leyte then Bohol to Mindanao from Manila.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
