The 10 LGUs that the entomology teams will conduct surveillance are Talibon, Tagbilaran, Anda, Loon, Jagna, Clarin, Inabanga, Dauis, Baclayon, and Candijay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The entomological surveillance aims to identify areas of high-density infestation, understand the behavior of vectors and how it interacts with their environment, and collect vector samples to see if they carry mosquito-borne diseases. The entomology team will then present their findings to PHO to evaluate the identified area&#8217;s strategy for dengue prevention.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Saniel said this is necessary to prevent further dengue outbreaks this year. He added that PHO continues its Information Education Campaign to all LGUs, emphasizing the 4S strategy (Search and destroy mosquito breeding places; Seek early consultation from health experts; Secure self-protection; and Support fogging\/spraying) as a method of eliminating dengue in barangays.
