We probably all know that the word \u201cChristmas\u201d is derived from the word \u201cChrist\u201d from the name Jesus Christ, and \u201c-mas\u201d from mass, meaning \u201cthe main Eucharistic liturgical service in many forms of Western Christianity.\u201d This information is all basic knowledge, whether one is Christian or not.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, we fail to understand the true meaning of the word \u201cChristmas.\u201d Maybe because we take it for granted since we celebrate it every year. Or perhaps because we haven\u2019t been informed until now, but this ends now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The real essence of Christmas is not just attending the holy mass on the 25th, nor is it about exchanging gifts between friends and family. It is about sharing the gift of joy, love, and generosity among all humankind, especially the poorest of the poor. We are talking about the poor in mundane things and those in spirit and love.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Most of the time, we are so worried about our public image and obsessed with ourselves that we forget to see the people around us. During this yuletide season, we must challenge ourselves to get out of our comfort zones and share our love regardless of who is watching.
