VACCINATION card for those who are found to be symptomatic is still required to enter Bohol, according to Gov. Aris Aumentado in his fb post.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The statement came even as the number of positive COVID-19 cases has dripped to double digit (84). But the deaths caused by the dreaded virus are now placed at 712 of the total 23,103 confirmed cases since the onslaught of the pandemic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The governor, however, said that vax card is no longer needed when stepping into the province after he signed Executive Order No. 32, abolishing the COVID-19 vax card.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cGipirmahan nako ang Executive Order No. 32 nga nagwagtang sa COVID-19 vaccination card or certificate of vaccination card isip requirement sa pagsulod sa atong probinsya alang sa mga asymptomatic nga mga indibidwal,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The governor earlier issued a statement that wearing of face mask outdoors are also lifted, but advised to wear it when indoors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Engr. James Gantalao, manager of Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) in the city, said that he lifting of vax card from health protocols helps a lot for the poor who can hardly secure the card.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He said that it is \u201cautomatic\u201d that PPA implemented the governor\u2019s fiat of no more vax card required when arriving in Bohol. This he told media interview.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Recently, Congresswoman Kristine Alexie B. Tutor bats for non-mandatory wearing of facemask when in outdoor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tutor\u2019s position came following the national government thru President Bongbong Marcos issued executive order has decided to make the wearing of face masks voluntary in open spaces nationwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The move is seen as a major policy shift to ease COVID-19 protocols as the province under alert level one transitions to the \u201cnew normal\u201d with number of positive cases is decreasing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI support the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF) in their latest recommendations based on science and the practical lives of our citizens,\u201d she said in a statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In supporting the proposed protocols (non-wearing of facemask in outdoor), Tutor said that people need practical and easy-to-follow rules.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
