{"id":3109,"date":"2022-08-29T13:13:11","date_gmt":"2022-08-29T13:13:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/theboholtimes.com\/?p=3109"},"modified":"2022-09-04T14:39:10","modified_gmt":"2022-09-04T14:39:10","slug":"aris-showcase-center-to-decent-snack-bars-no-bagsakan-center","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/theboholtimes.com\/?p=3109","title":{"rendered":"<strong>Aris: Showcase center to decent snack bars, no Bagsakan Center<\/strong>"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>IF he would be given the singular call to decide on the unutilized Product Showcase Center squatting on the edge of Carlos P Garcia Park, Governor Erico Aristotle Aumentado would rather use it as a decent snacks bar for park users, put in free internet connection for the public, add in bleachers for students to spend time in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sharing his thoughts during the weekly Capitol Reports, Friday, the young Aumentado categorically said he would never allow the unused structure to be used as a Bagsakan Center.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It may be recalled that the building, which squats at the near end of the CPG Park in front of Bohol Wisdom School, became controversial in the past administration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This was because, the contractors proceeded with the construction of the structure without getting the necessary Building Permit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Owing to the traffic bottleneck caused by the vehicles stopping and parking at the Bohol Wisdom School parking, and the vehicles exiting Pe\u00f1aflor Street, the flow of traffic to the new Capitol and the government offices along Lino I Chatto Drive, the area continuously deals with traffic snags.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Built by the Provincial Agriculture Office as a products\u2019 showcase center, the past administration leaked of the plan to convert the structure to a Bagsakan Center.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cBy products showcase center, we imagined handicrafts, gifts, wearable items and souvenirs, locally made furniture, food products and farm produce,\u201d sources at the Provincial Engineers Office confessed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That Bagsakan Center, we found out later, would also cater to wet goods, of which, the construction was not designed as such, shared Provincial Engineer Camilo Gasatan, during the weekly forum, attended personally by the governor.&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cBuilt without an ample parking space, the building, when used would contribute to the already deplorable traffic situation in that area,\u201d a city traffic deputy observed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Asked what to do with it, the governor joked about relocating it to the old airport where there is ample space.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>[<em>With the Bagsakan Center there<\/em>,] we\u2019d lose the respect reserved for the Garcia Park, the governor announced.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In recant, the governor said he will discuss this with his team, but if he is to decided, he\u2019d have stalls out of it, for rental, where all are clean and presentable snacks for park users.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He also intends to convert some spaces for bleachers where students can pass time and study and a public internet with wireless fidelity connection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bagsakan Center? no way, he said citing that it would contribute to the heavy traffic in the area.
