This is what Governor Erico Aristotle \u201cAris\u201d C. Aumentado said during a gathering of former rebels who have returned to the government\u2019s fold on August 12, 2022 (Friday) at Panda Tea Garden Suites in Tagbilaran City, Bohol.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The chief executive attended the Quarterly Stakeholder\u2019s Meeting of People\u2019s Advocacy for Collaboration and Empowerment, Inc. (PEACE)-Bohol Chapter, an organization composed of rebel returnees which aims to help them integrate into the society and contribute in nation-building.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aumentado emphasized that without peace in the island, all the efforts of his administration to entice investors to the province would all be put to waste.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cKung dili malinawon ang Bohol, ang akong kakugi sa pag-imbitar sa mga dagkong investors, mao nay hinungdan nga mao pud magpalayo sila sa probinsiya (If Bohol is not peaceful, all our efforts to invite big investors (would be put to waste, and) they will distance themselves from the province), the governor added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He also added that companies such as SM, Robinsons, Puregold and Cokaliong Shipping Lines will either enter or expand their operations in the province, especially in Tagbilaran City and in the towns such as Ubay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the event, Aumentado, together with officials from the Office of Provincial Social Welfare and Development (OPSWD), also turned-over a cheque worth Php305,614.25 to Bayanihan Resettlement Community Farmers Association (BRCFA) for a livelihood project (demo farm) in Tuboran, Ubay, Bohol.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

PEACE Inc. is composed of 511 members scattered across 17 clusters in the province, while BRCFA is the first resettlement community in Bohol for rebel returnees. (PR)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
