{"id":2232,"date":"2022-07-05T09:26:26","date_gmt":"2022-07-05T09:26:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/theboholtimes.com\/?p=2232"},"modified":"2022-07-12T08:00:56","modified_gmt":"2022-07-12T08:00:56","slug":"tagbilaran-citys-livelihood-program-2nd-batch-beneficiaries-complete-training","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/theboholtimes.com\/?p=2232","title":{"rendered":"Tagbilaran City\u2019s livelihood program 2nd batch beneficiaries complete training"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>TWENTY-four (24) beneficiaries comprised the 2<sup>nd<\/sup> batch of graduates of the <a>Livelihood Project on June 22, 2022. &nbsp;<\/a>The 2<sup>nd<\/sup> batch of completers finished its training on Dressmaking and Tailoring as conducted by the City Government partner from the Bohol Island State University (BISU).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The trainees are now due for a competency assessment for NC II certification by TESDA. City Livelihood and Community Development Unit (CLCDU) Head Adelfa Salutan shared that aside from the skills trainings, the beneficiaries are also provided with social preparatory trainings on Values Formation, Responsible Parenting, Reproductive Health, Gender Sensitivity and Development, and Financial Literacy and Management. Dean and professors from partner institution, University of Bohol, conducted the series of trainings. The skills training on one hand, will be handled by institutional partners, Bohol Island State University (BISU) and Technical Education Skills and Development Authority (TESDA).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The game-plan is to organize the trained beneficiaries to manage the Tagbilaran City Garments Manufacturers\u2019 Cooperative, a 3-year project in partnership with First Consolidated Bank (FCB) Foundation, TESDA, Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), UB, BISU, and GUGMA Tagbilaran.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On July 7, 2022, the blessing of the temporary site for the Garments Manufacturing Center in Brgy. Dampas will unfold, along with the oath-taking ceremonies of the officers of the Tagbilaran City Garments Manufacturers\u2019 Association, a DOLE registered association and the Officers of the Tagbilaran City Garments Manufacturers\u2019 Cooperative. The cooperative will now manage the new socio-economic business enterprise for the Tagbilaranons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Congratulations are in order to the 2<sup>nd<\/sup> batch of completers from the barangays led by Teresita Arganza and Maria Guendolyn Templa from Bool; Mary Grace Geonzon and Mary Rose Lumanta from Booy; Adela Jumalon from Cabawan; Rowena Bernales, Rocel Maraganas, and Bonifacia Paradero from Cogon; Zilda Paredes and &nbsp;Maria Salome Quipanes from Dampas; Analyn A\u00f1ora and Merlina Lagumbay from Dao; Jessa Caliniahan, Christy Marie Mahumoc, Rosario Mission, and Riza Pandan- from Manga; Judith Cambaya from Mansasa; Leonor Dano from Poblacion I; &nbsp;Cecilia Estomo and Estela Mag-aso from Poblacion Ill; Marites Marapao and Grace&nbsp; Mercado from Taloto; Kristine Abalos from Tiptip, and Elsie Bongato from Ubujan.
