HOPE IN ARTS.<\/strong> The Bohol Center for Culture and Arts Development (BCCAD) conducted \u201cPanaw sa Alampat\u201d on October 27\u201328, 2026, introducing residents in the Bohol Youth Home to creative activities that promote emotional expression and personal growth. THE arts can open doors to self-discovery, offering young people opportunities to express themselves, recognize their abilities, and build confidence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For residents of the Bohol Youth Homes, these opportunities took shape through music and visual arts under the Provincial Government of Bohol\u2019s (PGBh) ‘Panaw sa Alampat’ initiative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The two-day activity, conducted by the Bohol Center for Culture and Arts Development (BCCAD) on October 27\u201328, 2026, introduced residents to creative activities that promote emotional expression and personal growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Facilitated by BCCAD\u2019s in-house artists, the workshops provided hands-on learning experiences in music and visual arts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through guided exercises, residents were encouraged to express their thoughts, feelings, and experiences through different artistic forms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

More than developing creative skills, the sessions offered residents a supportive space for self-expression.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The activities recognized the importance of allowing young people to explore their emotions and discover healthy ways of communicating their experiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The initiative further sought to identify and nurture the residents\u2019 artistic talents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By exposing them to different creative disciplines, BCCAD opened opportunities for them to explore their interests and consider future pursuits in the arts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These experiences also reinforced the value of recognizing their potential beyond their present circumstances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through ‘Panaw sa Alampat,’ the PGBh, under the leadership of Gov. Aris Aumentado, recognizes that the development of young people extends beyond providing basic care and assistance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It also involves creating opportunities that strengthen their emotional well-being, encourage personal growth, and help them develop a sense of purpose, as part of PGBh’s commitment to inclusive development under its Strategic Governance Roadmap.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through such initiatives, PGBh reinforces its commitment to advance programs that promote the welfare and potential of Boholanos, benefiting from greater access to developmental opportunities in the arts across Bohol, a UNESCO Global Geopark.
