THE Flip the Script: The Reverse Pitch 2026 Bohol Leg concluded its two-day run on August 19 at the Ceremonial Hall of the New Provincial Capitol, connecting organizations with innovators to address real-world challenges through collaborative solutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The activity is organized by DASIG, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), the Department of Science and Technology (DOST), and the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), with support from the Provincial Government of Bohol (PGBh) through the Bohol Economic Development Investment Promotion Office (BEDIPO), headed by Officer-in-Charge Jude Bernard Guieb, and the Bohol Island State University (BISU).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Day 2 featured the synthesis of Day 1, deliberations among problem owners, and lectures for solution providers. Dr. Ivy Corazon Mangaya-Ay, Vice President for Research, Innovation, and Extension of BISU, discussed \u201cResearch with Purpose: The Research Office as a Platform for Community Problem-Solving.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Rino Dominic Cabuncal, RND, MPA, Science Research Specialist and Innovation Hub Manager of DOST VII, led the session on \u201cIgniting Innovation Mindset.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The event culminated in the Decision Announcement and signing of Statements of Interest and Intent to Collaborate, with the PGBh represented by Board Member Lucille Lagunay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The selected pairings were BISU with Arvo IT Solutions; Bohol Dairy Cooperative (BODACO) with Le Goat; Cafe Yza with Kirjane Lab; LGU-Talibon with Kirjane Lab and BISU Ecotrace; Arjam Bohol Travel and Tours with Rosenel Beseril; Prince Dennis Enterprises with TEYM; Fab Classi with Studio 1128; Bohol Vintage Car Rental Services with HNU and BAI (UB); and the Provincial Youth Development Office (PYDO) with Hiluna.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Reverse Pitch model placed actual operational, institutional, industry, and community challenges at the center of the innovation process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It enabled problem owners to present their needs first, allowing startups, researchers, innovators, and technology providers to respond with potential solutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Through the initiative, participating organizations establish innovation partnerships and identify opportunities for pilot projects, research collaboration, technology transfer, and commercialization, contributing to a stronger cross-sector innovation ecosystem in Bohol.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The initiative reinforced the PGBh’s Strategic Change Roadmap by strengthening innovation, digital transformation, research, enterprise development, and cross-sector collaboration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
By connecting government, academe, industry, and technology innovators to address real-world challenges, the Reverse Pitch contributes to building a more competitive, resilient, inclusive, and sustainable Bohol, the Philippines\u2019 first and only UNESCO Global Geopark Regenerative Island.
