(contributed)<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>TAGBILARAN CITY \u2013 The first of Cebu Pacific Airbus 320 for Panglao International airport, about 1 km. from here, had its inaugural flight, landing this afternoon (May 2, 2026) from Narita airport, Japan, office of the governor said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The said flight that brought some 163 passengers boosted Bohol as the prime eco-tourism destination in the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Governor Aris Aumentado welcomes the Japanese visitors with Japanese Consul-general Yudai Ueno, Japan consulate in Cebu City. The said visit of the consul-general also to strengthen the relations between Japan and Bohol.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The said first Cebu Pacific flight is also a step forward of establishing the airlines commitment to bring in more Japanese tourists to Bohol.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bohol is trying its best to promote and bring in more tourists and showcase Bohol as the one and only UNESCO Global Geopark of the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With the governor in welcoming the flight was Provincial Tourism Officer Joanne Pinat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bohol posted last year some 1.4 million visitors, according to the provincial tourism office.
