The program, part of the city\u2019s response to rising food and fuel prices, provides 27,106 households giving each household P1,000 worth of food vouchers in the form of five P200 vouchers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The vouchers are redeemable at Cogon Market, Dampas Central Public Market, and Manga Market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
City Mayor Jane Yap noted that the steady daily redemptions have turned the assistance program into a direct source of consumer spending for local markets, while also extending relief to households facing higher living costs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mayor Yap added the voucher system was designed to ensure that public funds circulate within Tagbilaran and benefit the city\u2019s food supply chain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThis is concrete help for every family and for our economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The city government is putting money directly into the local economy, where it can circulate within Tagbilaran, help our market vendors, and support our farmers and fisherfolk across Bohol,\u201d Yap said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The vouchers are being delivered house-to-house, with one representative per household required to present one valid government ID and sign the claim form prepared by barangay personnel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Distribution is being conducted in the morning from 5:30 a.m. to 8 a.m. and in the evening from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The city government released the following barangay distribution schedule: April 28 Poblacion 1; April 29 Mansasa; April 30 Cabawan; May 2 San Isidro; May 3 Poblacion 3; May 4 Ubujan; May5 Bool; May 6 Taloto; May 7 Tiptip; May 8 Manga; May 9; Booy; May 10 Dampas; May 11 Dao; May 12 Poblacion 2; May 13. Cogon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Households not reached during the house-to-house distribution may still claim their vouchers at the BACU office on the ground floor of City Hall, from Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mayor Yap said each redeemed voucher translates not only into food on the table for residents, but also into income for vendors and continued demand for agricultural and fishery produce.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cEvery voucher used means help for a family, a vendor, a farmer and a fisherman. This is service that can be seen and felt,\u201d Yap added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
