LAST termer Loay town Mayor Atty. Hilario \u201cLahar or Boyet\u201d Ayuban revealed that he is available for Congressman of 3rd<\/sup> district in the 2028 presidential elections provided that no money is involved because he has none.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But if the said polls are as usual very much associated with use of money, then he is not to throw his hat in 2028.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He also said that he is also open to run for provincial Board Member in said district, if not, vice-governor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He told media in an interview.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ayuban, who made Loay what it is today like completing the incomplete controversial public market and the completion of iconic bridge after the deadly collapse of the old one, made his stand to be clear about it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Though the presidential polls in 2028 is still over a year from today but the buzz of him running for congressman is hard to ignore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Being the League of Municipalities of the Philippines – Bohol chapter executive vice-president, Ayuban is no doubt always rings a bell of every municipal mayor, 18 of them, in the district.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The chief of staff of former Vice-Guv. Julius Caesar F. Herrera starting 2007 stressed that his plan, not an ambition, for running in the coming elections will be mainly based on consultation with his constituents, municipal mayors, advisers and political honchos in the party he belongs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He said all these largely depend on the group. But he would be happy if there are more bets for congressman, the merrier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sketchy talks are alive that not only Ayuban eyeing for solon in the district. There may be others in the likes of incumbent Carmen Mayor Conchita \u201cChe\u201d Toribio delos Reyes, or Atty. Makdo Castanares (who ran against Tutor in 2025), and ex-gov. Atty. Arthur C. Yap, who was trounced by Aumentado in 2022 elections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But Ayuban would not run if the Tutors would put up their kin in the candidacy for congressman. If report is to be assumed, incumbent Candijay Vice-Mayor Christopher Tutor, husband of Congw. Alexie Tutor, is being eyed to replace the latter. But he is said to be not interested, just to remain a low key politician, primary to provide service to Candijaynons. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reliable sources said that if the plan won\u2019t go haywire, incumbent Vice-Gov. Nick Besas would probably be for congressman-run in 2028. But this early, he told mediaman Edgar Tumanda that he\u2019s not have a cup of tea for it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Many said that last-termer congresswoman Kristine Alexie Tutor would likely replace his father, Nick Besas, to be vice-governor. If viral talks are to be believed, she is likely to tandem with incumbent Gov. Aris Aumentado in 2028, apparently preparation for her to vie for governor. If she wins, which is likely to be predicted, she would be the first lady governor of Bohol.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
