THE Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) did not only bring the government closer to the people in Permitting – On – Wheels strategy, but bring about the government for the people in doing business with it easily.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Permitting – On – Wheels, simultaneously conducted nationwide, is one way to make the people feel about the government. Here in the city it was held at the Island City Mall (ICM), servicing a total of 303 clients, according to a DENR employee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe DENR Permitting on Wheels continues to deliver faster, more accessible, and people-centered environmental services\u2014empowering communities and turning service into action,\u201d it said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The endeavor was done on April 14-15 in partnership with key leaders and stakeholders for what it called a \u201cshared commitment to responsive governance, environmental stewardship and ease of doing business.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to Philippines Information Agency (PIA), DENR\u2019s mobile offered an array of services, like Environmental Compliance Certificates (ECC), permits to operate for air and water quality, discharge permits, Pollution Control Officer accreditation, hazardous waste registration, mining permits (MPSA, OTP, MOEP), Free Patent applications, land surveys, foreshore leasing, and forestry and wildlife permits such as tree cutting, bamboo, and chainsaw registration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cDENR officials and local leaders led the rollout, pushing for more efficient public service delivery, it said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Gov. Aris Aumentado, City Mayor Jane Cajes-Yap, Wilson Henson, Atty. John Edward Ang, Provincial Environment Natural Resources Officer (PENRO) Colis and other environment officials graced the event, especially during the opening program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
