REGIONAL WINNER.\u00a0<\/strong> <\/strong>Congratulations, TCPCF! Paulo Antonio Sarabia, RN, focal person of the City Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit (CESU), proudly holds the Plaques of Recognition awarded for outstanding disease surveillance and reporting, alongside DOH officials at JJ’s Seafood Village.<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n

THE Tagbilaran City Primary Care Facility (TCPCF), under the leadership of City Health Officer Dr. Jeia Pondoc, has earned regional recognition after being named among the Top 10 Disease Reporting Units in Central Visayas for its outstanding performance in disease surveillance and reporting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The recognition was conferred during the 2-Day Data Reconciliation for 2025 and Target Setting Activity for 2026, organized by the Department of Health \u2013 Central Visayas Center for Health Development through its Regional Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit, held on March 19\u201320, 2026, at JJ\u2019s Seafood Village.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

TCPCF received two Plaques of Recognition for its excellence in: (1) Efficient submission of Event-Based Surveillance and Response (ESR) reports, and (2) Consistent submission of Weekly Notifiable Disease Reports for Calendar Year 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These recognitions highlight the city\u2019s strong commitment to timely, accurate, and reliable disease reporting, a critical component in early detection, monitoring, and response to public health threats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Accepting the awards on behalf of the city was Paulo Antonio Sarabia, RN, focal person of the City Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit (CESU), whose leadership and dedication\u2014alongside the efforts of the local health workforce\u2014contributed to the achievement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mayor Jane Yap commended the city\u2019s health personnel, emphasizing the importance of their role in safeguarding public health.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis recognition affirms the dedication and professionalism of our healthcare frontliners. Their commitment to timely and accurate disease reporting strengthens our ability to respond to health concerns and protect every Tagbilaranon,\u201d Mayor Yap said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She further reiterated that strengthening the city\u2019s health systems remains a priority of the administration, ensuring that Tagbilaran continues to deliver responsive and quality healthcare services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
