THE Tagbilaran City Police Station formally received a brand new patrol vehicle from the Philippine National Police during a turnover ceremony on March 2, 2026 at the Tagbilaran City Hall, capping a swift five-day process from request to release facilitated by national authorities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Representatives of the National Police Commission, including Commissioner Rafael Vicente R. Calinisan, Vice Chairperson and Executive Officer; Commissioner Josephus G. Angan; and Atty. Maximo T. Lasaca, Regional Director of NAPOLCOM 7, led the turnover ceremony.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Tagbilaran Chief of Police PLtCol John Escober received the vehicle together with Mayor Jane Yap and Bohol Provincial PNP Director Patricio Degay Jr.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mayor Yap said the patrol car was granted after a meeting with national officials on February 23, 2026 at Malaca\u00f1ang.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
By February 25, a written directive approving the request had been issued.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The vehicle was released on February 26 at Camp Crame and was personally received by City Chief of Police Escober, before arriving in Tagbilaran on February 28, 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
City Mayor Jane Yap thanked PNP Chief PGEN Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. and Department of the Interior Secretary Juanito Victor Remulla for the immediate action on the city\u2019s request.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cFrom our request to the actual release, the process moved with remarkable speed. We are grateful for the immediate response of our national leaders. This patrol car will strengthen our police visibility and enhance our capacity to respond quickly to the needs of our constituents\u201d, Mayor Yap said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
City officials attributed the prompt approval to the recent recognition of the Tagbilaran City Police Station as the Best Performing Police Station in Region 7, a distinction that underscored its operational efficiency and performance in maintaining peace and order.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mayor Yap said the recognition and the newly granted patrol unit serve as motivation for the local police force to sustain high standards of service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThis is not only an award but a responsibility. Our police officers have demonstrated excellence, and we will continue to support them with the resources they need to protect and serve Tagbilaranons,” she added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
