THE TAGBILARAN City General Services Office (CGSO) conducted a weeklong volunteerism initiative from February 9-13, 2026 as part of its continuing commitment to community service and civic engagement under the \u201cI Am for Tagbilaran\u201d program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year\u2019s weeklong activities began on February 9, 2026, with \u201cI Am for the Children,\u201d a feeding activity at the Candait Day Care Center, spearheaded by the Supplies and Procurement Division.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On February 10, the Asset Management Division led the \u201cI Am for Faith,\u201d a spiritual upliftment activity for Persons Under PNP Custody at the Tagbilaran City Police Station and Persons Deprived of Liberty at the Tagbilaran City Jail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The volunteer drive continued on February 11 with \u201cI Am for the Community,\u201d a cleanup activity along J.S. Torralba Street, organized by the Motorpool and Transportation Division.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On February 12, environmental stewardship took center stage through \u201cI Am for the Environment,\u201d featuring Project 6300 Tree Growing Activity at the City Agrivet Office in barangay Tiptip, led by the Administrative and General Services Division.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The week concluded on February 13 with \u201cI Am for a Clean Tagbilaran,\u201d a cleanup activity at the City Hall compound, participated in by all City Government employees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This volunteerism program, conceptualized by CGSO Head Dr. Chris John Rener Torralba in 2020, has become an institutional activity of the office and is held every February, symbolizing the spirit of service and compassion during the month traditionally associated with love.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The volunteerism activities directly support Mayor Jane Yap\u2019s programs, including Project 6300, which encourages city employees to actively engage in tree growing and environmental protection, as well as sustained cleanup initiatives aimed at maintaining cleanliness in city streets and public areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through the continued implementation of the \u201cI Am for Tagbilaran\u201d program\u2014both during the annual February observance and year-round\u2014the City General Services Office continue to advance people-centered governance  promoting a cleaner, greener, and more compassionate Tagbilaran City.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
