THE Provincial Government of Bohol, under the leadership of Governor Aris Aumentado, was recognized as Highly Functional in the FY 2025 Local Council Against Trafficking and Violence Against Women and Children (LCAT-VAWC) Functionality Assessment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This was after the Department of the Interior and Local Government \u2013 Region VII (DILG-7) Bohol Province conferred the result, which was posted on their official Facebook account on February 5, 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The assessment evaluated local government units based on key indicators, including organizational structure, conduct of meetings, policies, plans, and budget, and program accomplishments, reflecting institutional capacity to prevent and respond to trafficking in persons and violence against women and children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Governor Aumentado emphasized that the recognition reflects the collective efforts of local leaders and partner agencies across the province.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cKini usa ka timaan sa atong paningkamot sa pagpalig-on sa mga programa ug mekanismo sa pagpanalipod sa kababayen-an ug kabataan sa tibuok probinsya. Resulta usab kini sa panaghiusa sa atong mga mayor, konsehal, barangay leaders, social workers, kapulisan, ug tanang partner agencies,\u201d Aumentado wrote on his Facebook page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alongside PGBh, the City Government of Tagbilaran and forty-one (41) municipal local government units were likewise rated as Highly Functional.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The municipalities included are Alburquerque, Alicia, Anda, Antequera, Baclayon, Balilihan, Batuan, Buenavista, Candijay, Carmen, Catigbian, Clarin, Corella, Cortes, Dagohoy, Danao, Dauis, and Dimiao.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The list goes on with Garcia Hernandez, Getafe, Guindulman, Inabanga, Lila, Loay, Loboc, Loon, Mabini, Maribojoc, Panglao, Pilar, Pres. Carlos P. Garcia, San Isidro, San Miguel, Sevilla, Sierra Bullones, Sikatuna, Talibon, Trinidad, Tubigon, Ubay, and Valencia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The recognition supports the Strategic Change Roadmap of the Provincial Government of Bohol, which promotes inclusive governance, social protection, and community resilience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
