At the national level, Tagbilaran City was recognized as a 2024 Good Financial Housekeeping Passer by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), reflecting sound fiscal management and transparency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The city also placed 9th nationwide in the Yearly Growth of Local Source Revenues for FY 2024, as awarded by the Department of Finance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Further highlighting its contributions to education and skills development, Tagbilaran was named a National Kabalikat Awardee by TESDA for exemplary support to Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Among the city\u2019s other notable national honors were the Subaybayan Awards 2025 for outstanding infrastructure governance, the Seal of Child-Friendly Local Governance, and recognition of the CSO Center for Responsive Citizen Empowerment and Development (CREED) Academy by the DILG.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Local institutions likewise brought pride to the city, including Manga National High School, whose Integrated Diversified Organic Farming System Learning Site emerged as Grand Winner of the National Gawad Saka 2025, and Tagbilaran\u2019s inclusion in the Manila Times PH Model Cities and Municipalities 2025 as a Promising Financial Education Partner, awarded by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Regionally, Tagbilaran City garnered a wide array of awards recognizing excellence in governance, health, disaster preparedness, environmental management, and social services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
These included high functionality ratings for local councils, top performance in real property tax assessment and revenue generation, exemplary practices in health and nutrition programs, and multiple accolades for disaster risk reduction and management from national agencies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Tagbilaran City Primary Care Facility was also honored with regional awards in epidemiology and surveillance, underscoring the city\u2019s strong public health system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mayor Jane Yap said the recognitions are a testament to the resilience, unity, and dedication of Tagbilaranons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
