BOSS-READY.<\/strong>\u00a0 The City Government of Tagbilaran\u00a0 is getting all set regarding the conduct of its Business-One-Stop-Shop (BOSS) from January 3 to 20, 2026, an annual initiative aimed at ensuring the fast and efficient processing of business permits while promoting a more business-friendly environment in the city.<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n

THE City Government of Tagbilaran will conduct its annual Business-One-Stop-Shop (BOSS) from January 3 to January 20, 2026 at the City Hall Atrium, to facilitate the fast and efficient processing of business permits for the coming year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Mary Christine Bitoy-Montalban, Head of the Business Permits and Licensing Office (BPLO), extended operating hours will again be observed to better serve business owners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Frontline offices, particularly the BPLO and the City Treasurer\u2019s Office (CTO), will accommodate clients until 8:30 p.m. on weekdays, and from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturdays.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bitoy-Montalban emphasized that in line with the government\u2019s commitment to ease of doing business, the City has significantly streamlined permit requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

New business applications will require only three documents: DTI or SEC Registration, Certification of Occupancy or Certification of Old Existing Building or Lessor\u2019s Permit, and Real Property Tax (RPT) Clearance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For renewal applications, only the RPT Clearance is required, which may be secured at the City Treasurer\u2019s Office, Window 29.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She further clarified that businesses previously red-flagged by regulatory offices must first comply with noted deficiencies and submit an Inter-Office Clearance before proceeding with permit renewal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Notifications have already been sent earlier this month via email to affected establishments with active email addresses on record.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

BPLO continues to practice one-day processing of permits, provided that all requirements are complete and there are no outstanding issues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mayor Jane Yap encouraged business owners to take advantage of the streamlined process and extended hours, noting that the City Government remains committed to creating a business-friendly environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe want to make it easier for our entrepreneurs to comply, grow, and succeed. A thriving business sector means more jobs and better services for Tagbilaranons,\u201d the mayor said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The City Government also reminded the public that the issuance of a Mayor\u2019s Permit does not end regulatory compliance, as post-requirements from the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), City Health Office (CHO), and the concerned barangay must still be completed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
