Congratulations to Engr. Raul Aparicio II and the Tagbilaran City Environmental Management Office team! They have been recognized for their efforts in Ecological Solid Waste Management by the Provincial Government of Bohol.<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n

THE Provincial Government of Bohol has officially recognized Tagbilaran City for its outstanding performance in environmental stewardship for the 2024\u20132025 period, highlighting the city\u2019s sustained commitment to sustainable and inclusive environmental governance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through the Bohol Provincial Environmental Management Office (BEMO), a Certificate of Recognition was conferred on the Tagbilaran City Environmental Management Office (TCEMO) on December 19, 2025 in recognition of the city\u2019s exemplary implementation of Ecological Solid Waste Management program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Certificate of Recognition was received on behalf of the city by Engr. Raul Aparicio II, Head of TCEMO, from Ms. Jovencia Ganub, BEMO Head.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The award underscored Tagbilaran City\u2019s success in advancing environmental initiatives that are both innovative and people-centered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The city was particularly lauded for earning the Excellence Award in Women\u2019s Participation in Waste Recycling, a program that empowers women to take the lead in recycling and resource recovery initiatives, while opening opportunities within the green economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The provincial government likewise cited Tagbilaran City\u2019s creative waste collection system, which uses music to encourage public cooperation and compliance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The initiative transforms routine waste collection into an engaging environmental campaign, boosting community awareness and participation in proper waste disposal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

City Mayor Jane Yap welcomed the recognition, commending TCEMO and its partners for their dedication and innovation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis award affirms that when environmental programs are inclusive, creative, and community-driven, they truly make a lasting impact. I commend TCEMO for leading initiatives that empower our people\u2014especially women\u2014while protecting our environment. Tagbilaran will continue to pursue sustainable solutions for the benefit of present and future generations,\u201d the mayor said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Provincial officials noted that the recognition reflects TCEMO\u2019s strong leadership and Tagbilaran City\u2019s holistic approach to environmental management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
