THE City Government of Tagbilaran celebrated the 33rd National Children\u2019s Month with a festive and heartwarming gathering held on November 7, 2025, at the Saulog Gymnasium bringing together 911 preschoolers from the city\u2019s 35 Child Development Centers, along with their parents and 36 Child Development Teachers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Spearheaded by the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) led by Ms. Lucille Clarin, the celebration carried this year\u2019s national theme, \u201cOSAEC-CSAEM Wakasan: Kaligtasan at Karapatan ng Bata, Ipaglaban!\u201d, highlighting the city\u2019s ongoing efforts to protect children\u2019s rights and promote their overall well-being.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

City Mayor Jane Yap, joined by Bohol Frist District Congressman John Geesnell \u201cBaba\u201d Yap II, personally led the distribution of P.E. uniforms to the city\u2019s preschoolers, a gesture that symbolizes the local government\u2019s dedication to uplifting early childhood education and development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In her message, Mayor Yap shared that the city continues to invest in programs that support the growth and comfort of young learners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAs a mother, I know how important it is for every child to feel loved, safe, and supported. As your mayor, I will continue to make sure that Tagbilaran remains a city where our children can learn and thrive,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Under her administration, Tagbilaran City\u2019s day care centers have been upgraded \u2014 now air-conditioned and equipped with Smart TVs, ensuring a more engaging and comfortable learning environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Children also receive free P.E. uniforms and benefit from supplemental feeding programs, with more initiatives lined up to enhance their education and nutrition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event also featured song and dance presentations, inspirational messages, and joyful interaction between parents, teachers, and children \u2014 all celebrating the city\u2019s strong commitment to child welfare and early learning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
