EVERY time a person receives goods from someone, the usual remark from the recipient is, \u201cThank you\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Every time a person receives a gift from a friend, the usual words from the receiver is, \u201cThank you\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Every time a bachelor courts a lady and finally got the \u201cYes\u201d answer, this young gentleman\u2019s normal comment is, \u201cThank you\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Magsayawsayaw pa sa kalipay!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And, finally, every time someone finds solace in his worries and predicaments in life after finding intercessions from the Heavenly Father, the typical pronouncement is, \u201cThank you, Lord. Thank you, Lord.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It goes, therefore, that every time someone receives good tidings, in whatever form, the general comment is, Thank you!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These practices are but normal and are symbols of an educated person in his own character even if he is unlettered.               <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the contrary, it is also awkward and very extraordinary if the recipient does not pronounce the words\u201d Thank you\u201d- not even a gesture translating the words \u201cThank you\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But, what can one say of a person congratulating HIMSELF by saying \u201cThank you\u201d because he had given something to some persons or to the general public? Very AWKWARD and self-serving, is it not?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Has this episode happened in this island-province of brave and intelligent Boholanos?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To some, or maybe, to many, this had not happened yet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But to Short Cuts who frequents the interior towns of the province from the City of Tagbilaran thru Balilihan \u2013 Makapiko – Batuan road to the Municipality of Carmen, for quite a long time already, he can squarely say that this incident is as true as the sun rises from the east.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Why?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Because as seen by Short Cuts in his almost daily trips, tarpaulin-printed advertisements are posted at the roadsides of the national highway from LGU Carmen to LGU Corella.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In fact, one such type of advertisement was posted right in front of Short Cuts\u2019 gasoline station at LGU Carmen.     <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Short Cuts was really intrigued by the wordings most especially the personalities expressing their \u201cThank you\u201d message to the provincial officials concerned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So that, in one of Short Cuts trips back to the capital city and chancing upon men installing the same advertisement at the roadside in one of the interior towns of Bohol, he had to ask on them this query in the vernacular, \u201dBrod, kinsa may gasugo ninyo sa pagtaud anang propagandaha?\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The answer?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cKanang na-a sa litrato\u201d was the answer. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cMa-o ba?,\u201d was Short Cuts\u2019 incredible reaction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the foregoing circumstances as narrated, we are made to understand, therefore, that they are thanking themselves!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So the major query is, \u201cWas Short Cuts blatantly misinformed by these men installing the advertisement?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
