AS thousands were and are expected to flock to public and private cemeteries throughout Tagbilaran City on November 1 (yesterday) and 2, 2025 (today), the City Government of Tagbilaran, under the leadership of Mayor Jane Yap, implemented comprehensive measures to ensure a safe, orderly, and peaceful observance of All Saints\u2019 and All Souls\u2019 Day 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
All cemeteries in the city opened their gates from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., allowing visitors to stay inside the premises until 10:00 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The City Traffic Management Office and Tagbilaran ALERT personnel, in coordination with the Tagbilaran City Police Station, carried out traffic rerouting schemes in key areas near cemeteries to ease congestion and ensure pedestrian safety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mayor Yap reminded the public to remain disciplined and cooperative during the observance, stressing that Undas is not only a time for remembrance but also for unity and order.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“While we come together to honor our departed loved ones, may we also show respect for one another by keeping our surroundings clean, following traffic rules, and maintaining peace,\u201d Mayor Yap said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Personnel from the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) and Tagbilaran City Primary Care Facility (TCPCF) were deployed to provide medical and emergency assistance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The city government reminded the public to properly dispose of trash using designated bins and follow the guidance of traffic enforcers and police officers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mayor Yap extended her gratitude to all city personnel, barangay officials, and volunteers for their dedication in maintaining safety and order during the annual observance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
